Buffalo Wings

Many years ago, 1965 in fact, I lived in Buffalo New York. There was a bar near where I lived called the Anchor Bar which I used to frequent. They had a bar menu which included Buffalo Wings which were the most popular bar snack. The 1st time I tried them I was hooked. When I visited other bars I would ask if they had Buffalo Wings and was told no. The only place to get them was the Anchor Bar who, I subsecquently realized invented them. After several months I asked the bartender at The Anchor if I could get the recipe. He told me they very easy to make. There are many versions of Buffalo Wings out there today but, they are just "wings". There are "wings" and then there are "Buffalo Wings" Here is the original Anchor Bar Buffalo Chicken Wings recipe which is really easy to make. I don't have amounts for the ingedients as it depends on how many wings you are going to make and how much of a sissy you are!! ;o).
Experiment a little.

Ingredients:
Margarine (no butter please)
Franks Hot Sauce (you can use another but this is what the Anchor used)
Chicken Wings

Preparation.
Place wings in a 400 degree over (The Anchor deep fried them but this is a bit healthier, deep fry them if you wish) for about 15 minutes or until done.
Meantime, melt margarine in a saucepan over medium heat until melted. Add hot sauce and simmer for 2 minutes.
When wings are done put them in the sauce pan and coat well. Pour this mess onto a platter. That's it! Serve with Bleu Cheese or Ranch dressing with celery sticks and a bunch of napkins. Too good!!
Some of the best foods are the simplest to make.
