There are many versions of Caesar Salad. This is close to the original with small variations.

juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp worcestershire sauce

1 coddled egg. (place egg in boiling water for 30 seconds)
Directions
Wash and dry lettuce. Break into bite size pieces. Place in refrigerator. Put 2 plates and forks in the freezer.
Put anchovies, and garlic in oil. Let stand for 20-30 minutes.
Add rest of ingredients except cheese and mix well.
Place lettuce on cold plates Add cheese and coat well. Pour dressing over lettuce and toss to coat.
Serve with garlic bread or croutons and a glass of good white wine.
