Creole/ Cajun Seasoning

Yes, you can buy Creole/Cajun Seasoning at the supermarked. But they all contain preservatives and miscellaneous stuff you don't want or need. This is better! And it keeps for a fairly long time.
3 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 taablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon bay leaf powder, if you can find it, if not use 2 or 3 bay leaves (don't forget to remove them when done)or..I grind the bay leaves in a spice grinder which is actually a coffee grinder..
1 taablespoon chili powder
Make this recipe first then adjust amounts in subsequent recipes, more, or less cayenne etc..
Can be used in any Creole or Cajun recipe
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Will keep for several months.
